Your blog will come in handy when you begin to look for evidence to include in your portfolio. The prompts below are the ones that will be graded. Feel free to include extra blog entries and photos as you see fit.

Blog Prompts
- What are 2-3 specific changes you made this year? Why are you making them? How do you feel now as compared to how you felt last year at this time? Include a photo or screenshot of something you have changed, or a photo of something you had that you won't use anymore.(Transformation - Engages in continuous self-evaluation and improvement) (Due August 31st, 11:59pm)
- Describe a tough decision you had to make as a teacher. What were the consequences of your decision? If you were in the same position again, would you make the same choice? Why/why not? (Professionalism: Models poise, maturity, and sound judgement) (Due September 30th, 11:59pm)
- How do you describe to others what you do as a teacher? What are their reactions? What misconceptions do you have to manage? How do you justify your choice to become a teacher? Include a photo of your classroom or of you teaching. (Leadership: Act as a steward of the profession)
(Due November 1st, 11:59pm) - What have you done to reach the hard-to-reach students? What kinds of educational approaches/activities have you used help pull all students into the lesson? Include a photo or screenshot that exemplifies what you are describing. (Practice: Designs and uses educational environments and instructional practices to meet all students’ needs, abilities, and interests)
(Due Nov. 30th, 11:59pm) - Who have you worked with at your school to advance student learning (e.g. parents, librarian, another teacher, a coach, etc.)? Describe the benefits of this collaboration. If they are ok with it, take a photo with one of these people (or a group shot). The photo is optional. (collaboration: works with relevant stakeholders to advance student learning)
(Due Jan. 31st, 11:59pm) - How has the way you assess student work changed from last year? What kinds of formal and informal assessments do you use? How do your assessments inform and change how you teach? Include a photo or a screenshot of one assessment you use. (Assessment: Understands and thoughtfully uses formal and informal evaluation strategies) (Due Feb. 29th, 11:59pm)
- How do you use technology to enhance the subject you teach? Discuss the role of technology in the classroom. How and when should it be used? Include a photo or screenshot. (2.x of the rubric. Each subject matter rubric has a different place for technology). (Due March 31st, 11:59pm)
